MODE OF OPERATION


The system Suntracker comprises a pivot control system GPS ST ® solar cell tracking of solar radiation and a high reflectance aluminum mirror to track movement of the sun during the day and to illuminat1e the interior of buildings using natural sunlight. The system Suntracker also has a weatherproof plastic dome and a clerestory.

 

The highly reflective mirror located inside the dome, driven by a solar electric motor. Το Global Positioning System (GPS ST ®), that can and “recognizes” the longitude and latitude of the mirror and the orientation of the sun, is the brain of the unit. An energy storage unit provides the extra power necessary to GPS ST ® and the engine in cases of consecutive cloudy days. Before the sun anateillei, the GPS ST ® signals the motor to rotate the mirror to the exact location where the sun meets the horizon.

 

The mirror is locked in place rising sun and begins to reflect light into the skylight. The mirror follows the sun during the whole day (even in winter with low angles of movement of the sun).

 

The upper diffuser lens distributing the light and help to minimize solar heat that is passed to the interior of the building. The lower diffusion lenses that are placed at the bottom of the illuminating, diffuse further sunlight, expanding it to almost the entire interior of the building. The lighting is uniform across space.

 

Completely free natural light with no glare and no hot spots which are normally rapidly disseminated as with a passive lighting system. The lower diffusion lenses also prevent the conditioned air from escaping through the skylight.

System Natural sunlight Suntracker is designed to carry the light intensity multiplied, without transferring through space heat of solar radiation. This is achieved with a double filter of ultraviolet and infrared radiation.

CONCLUSION

 

The Suntracker absorbs the total spectrum of solar radiation from early morning until late afternoon and all seasons.

To GPS ST ® detects the movement of the sun and guarantees maximum absorption of sunlight and to 3 times more of a common light pipe.

The state-of-the-art prismatic light diffusion lenses provide dispersed natural light during the day.

The thermal barrier prevents heat as it appears to common Solatube.

The mirror of continuous detection of the sun constantly detects the sun even in the winter when the sun moves in the lower corners, providing plenty of natural light.
